Kailash Mansorovar
As per, Hindu Scriptures, significance of Kailash-mansarovar yatra is immense. Kailash is considered as abode of Shiva-Parvatiji. The peak of Kailash is the most beautiful among all other peaks.

Kailash Peak has been center of devotion from ancient times for the Devas, Danavas, Yakshas, Kinners, Vidyadharas, Gandharvas, Apsaras, yogis, Munis, Siddhas, Tapes and humans. A lot of pilgrims visit Kailash-Mansarovar every year. It is our bad luck that today kailash-Mansavroverbelongs to china and Tibet. Therefore, these days only a few pilgrims can visit Kailash-Mansarovar with permission of Chinese authority. As a person always pine for visiting his birth place, devotes of Lord Shiva are always eager to visit Kailash-Mansarovar. All the time, they dream of visiting this place.

Rajatgiri Kailash which is 22028ft. above sea level is difficult to access. Pilgrims have to cross many mountain ranges to reach there. There are various routes to reach kailash from India.
  • One route goes from Ladakh region of Kashmir;

  • Third route is from Badrinath via Man Ghat;
  • Fourth route goes via Niti Ghat which is in North- East direction of Joshi Math;
  • Fifth route goes via Almora, Dharchula, Gabyang, and Lipu Ghat;
  • Sixth route goes from Nepal towards Kailash-Mansarovar.

Kailash Parikrama

Kailash Mansorovar
Total distance of 48 km is to be covered to complete Kailash Parikrama. Parikrama starts from Darchen which is situated at the feet of Kailash mountain. If we go west from Darchen, we pass Sersuna, Nandi Cavas, a flag pole called “’Tarbo’. Next stopover from sersung is Nyanari Gompa. Nest side of Kailash peak is visible from here. A little ahead of Nyanari gompa is desphu gompa, on the banks of Lha=chu river. It is located at 16,400 ft above sea level. Full view of Kailash Peak is visible from here. This is the most beautiful view on the Earth. Snowclade Kailash mountain looks as if lord Shiva himself is stranding there covered with holy ashes. Perfectly symmetric Kailash peak looks like a comphoswhite swayambhu shivlinga. Here sight of Kailash peak gives underplainable divine bliss. Pilgrims bow down innumerable times to abode of Lord Shiva . This snowclade peak of kailash is known as Himratna. The next destination of Partikarma is Dolma-la-pass, 2000 ft. Parikrama, immediately blow this , there is gaurikhud. gaurikund is a lake of about one kilometer circumference. It is covered with ice all the time devoted pilgrims break the layer of ice and have a holy dip in the cold water. The holy kailash Parikrama was over when we reached back Darchen.

Man-Sarovar

Kailash Mansorovar
Lord Brahma has created this lake through power of intent, so it is called Mansarovar it is divine it is situated 4485 mt. Above sea level and spread over 320 sq. km. It’s circumference is about 86km and it is 90 mt. Deep in the (middle) central part.

During winter, water freezes to solid ice. Tibetish people cross the lake without any fear by walking across or on yak.

As per Shakt Granth, hands of Sati had Fallen here. As a result Mansarovar is created. There fore, it is considered as one of the fifty one shaktipeeth. Here we can see Raj Hamsa and ordinary Hamsa. A Raj Hamsa is a pure white Swan and an ordinary Hansa is of dirty grey colour. Their red beaks are very tender and they can fly very high main rivers of India originate from Mansarovar. During summer melting ice falls downs and produces loud shound similar to that of a Mridanga. Pilgrims visiting Mansarovar during summer feel hyptonized, listening to this divine music. It is impossible to have bath in freezing cold water of Mansarovar. Some courageous pilgrims take a holy dip into the water. It is believed that by having a dip in this water, one can attain Rudralok.

Rakshas Tal

Kailash Mansorovar
Next to Mansarovar, there is another lake called Rakshas Tal. It is spread over the area of 225 sq. km. Here demon king Ravana worshipped Ashutosh Shambhu, that is why it is called Rakshas Tal or Ravanhrid. There are two beautiful islands within Rakshas Tal. A narrow hill separates Mansarovar and Rakshas Tal. A small river called Ganga-Chu joins both the lakes. Satlaj, Sindha Brahmputra etc. famous rivers originate from this region. There are eight Buddha Gompas situated on the banks of Mansarovar. There is a vast Plane called Barkha on the north side of Mansarovar. Darchen is on the North side of Barkha. Kailash Parikrama starts from Darchen.

Kailash Mansorovar
We stayed on the banks of Mansarovar from 29-7 to 4-8 and conducted Shiv Katha and performed Maha Mrityunjaya Laghu Rudra yagya of 425 paksha. We took the same route while returning. We performed a yagya at holy Shrine of Shri Pashupatinath at Kathmandu, Nepal. We reached Bhavnagar on 14-8.

Thus, we completed the most difficult pilgrimage to Kailash-Mansarovar with the blessings of God. We did not have to walk till we reached Kailash-Mansarovar. Still we had to face many obstacles. We were accompanies by a few elderly pilgrims, who were above 80 years of age. Some of them had undergone by pass surgery. Some of them were suffering from diabetes and other ailments. But nothing is impossible if we have strong will and firm faith in Lord Shiva.

108 disciples of P.P. Shri Dayagiriji Bapu from all over the world joined the pilgrimage. The pilgrimage was organized by Shri Ashokbhai Jogia of Shivam Group from Lester, U.K. P.P. Shri Dayagiriji Bapu is Shiv Kathakar of international fame. It was his wish to conduct Shiv Katha at Kailash-Mansarovar. His wish was fulfilled by the grace of Lord Shiva.
